How Our Company Rose in the Storage Tank Industry
Bard Industries, Ltd. was built from the ground up by the Bard family in 1919. Our company had started its run in the steel industry during that time and continues to manufacture excellent products until today. Before becoming the corporation that it is today, the company started as a blacksmith shop in Cornwall, Ontario and had gone through different changes afterwards.

Branching Out Our Offerings During the War
After working as machinists and welders for an aircraft company during the war, the second generation of the family joined and participated in the company’s operations in 1944. With the increase in manpower and skills, the company then branched out to repairs and custom steel fabrication.
Working With Firms in the Petroleum Industry
In 1962, the company expanded to accommodate businesses in a specific industry. During this time, Bard Industries, Ltd. was involved in the industrial sector, providing maintenance for plants and firms in the oil industry.
Specializing in Fuel Storage Solutions
The company went through one of its major changes in 1971 when the third generation of the Bard family had taken over the business. During this time, the business branched out to high-pressure piping and building loading docks for fuel tanks. The company had also begun constructing all the necessary piping for unloading fuel tanks. During this time, we had started repairing and building large fuel storage tanks.
Bard Industries, Ltd. in the 21st Century
Today, the company continues to be owned by the Bard family and is currently being led by James Bard. With more than 100 years of experience, the business continues to grow and deliver outstanding results to our clients. Aside from providing excellent tanks, we have also become more aware of environmental issues, and thus we now also focus on protecting the environment.
